If you still do not receive the validation email after these checks, please contact us: Contact us.

I forgot my password. What should I do?

You can reset your password on this page: Reset my password.

If you wish to close your account, you can find the “Delete my account” button on your account information page: Edit my account information.

A member makes inappropriate or offensive comments. What should I do?

Any form of discrimination, harassment or aggression is strictly prohibited. If a member behaves this way, we recommend reporting it to us: Contact us.

You can also block malicious members.

I disagree with the list of countries or languages provided.

Some countries or languages are sometimes disputed. The Language.Exchange team does not intend to take part in these debates.

To remain impartial, the lists used on this site are based on ISO 3166-1, ISO 639-1 and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) country list.

Can I put my email address, IDs or links in my profile?

Social media IDs, email addresses and blog links are allowed only in the fields provided for them: Edit my contact details and social networks. These fields are protected from bots that crawl the web to collect IDs.

It is therefore not allowed to put them in your profile’s Description field. This rule aims to protect your personal data from information-gathering bots.

Why are disposable or anonymous email addresses not allowed?

Disposable or anonymous email addresses are often used to create many fake accounts while remaining anonymous.

For security reasons and out of respect for other members, the site no longer allows these email addresses.
